ISU WellBeing reflects Iowa State's commitment to creating a workplace where employees feel supported, connected, and able to thrive. Through programs, resources, and partnerships across the university, we support all areas of wellbeing and make it easier to engage in ways that fit your life and work.
Our approach
We believe wellbeing is personal and shaped by many aspects of life. ISU WellBeing supports the whole person through five interconnected dimensions of wellbeing. Together, these dimensions help guide the programs, resources, and support available to Iowa State employees.
Physical wellbeing
- Supporting movement, nutrition, sleep, and overall health
Mental wellbeing
- Supporting emotional health, resilience, stress management, and mental health resources
Financial wellbeing
- Supporting financial confidence, planning, and access to financial education
Social wellbeing
- Supporting relationships, connectiong, belonging, and community
WorkLife wellbeing
- Supporting a positive work environment, flexibility, engagement, and work-life integration
Care Compass
Our whole-person approach places employees at the center of everything we do. Inspired by emerging research, the Care Compass recognizes that wellbeing is shaped not only by individual choices, but also by workplace culture, support, communication, belonging, and trust.
Through programs, resources, leadership engagement, and campus partnerships, ISU WellBeing helps create the conditions where faculty and staff can thrive.
